Creating in response to her surroundings, Fiona explores the potency of textile and garment design as means for social commentary and personal healing.

Sourcing from existing materials, Fiona calls individualized pieces into existence through an intuitive and experimental process in which the essence of the textile and the story of its origin are honored and explored. Seeking to dispel the notion of a materials lifespan, she is drawn to typically discarded textiles that she then imbues with new life. Through regenerative processes of dyeing, mending, collaging, among others - the natural continuity of the creative process is honored and past stories metamorphize into responsive forms.

Fiona is now weaving of the cloth, a project centered around textile regeneration and storytelling; exploring our interconnectedness through clothing and mending gaps between makers and wearers. She shares the journey via newsletter and is working on a new collection.
